We were honuored to visit artist Zeng Li at his breathtaking Mustard Seed Courtyard, and we got the possibility of running our first workshop here in June 2014. The result of this workshop was presented in a Work in Progress presentation for an invited audience. A big thank to our wonderful host Zeng Li, who is one of the most influential characters in the contemporary Chinese art circle. Starting off as a stage designer in the 1980s, Zeng has come to notoriety by designing the scenography for numerous international opera productions, moving then to photography and the film industry, including a long-term collaboration with director Zhang Yimou, whom Zeng worked with for the opening of the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.
